Island escape

Combine a stay in the World Heritage listed town of Hoi An with a camping adventure on Cham Island, also recognized by UNESCO as a unique biosphere reverse. Take a speedboat to the main island, visit the market and then hop on a traditional wooden fishing boat to explore some of the other island, go snorkeling and try catch your own fish, which you can later grill on the beach where you will camp. There are people living on the main island, a community mainly consisting of fishermen.

In recent years the island have started to attract lots of attention from tourist that visit here on day trips to snorkel on the coral reefs and enjoy the palm fringed, white sand beaches. To protect the islands the government has not allowed the development of hotels or resorts here. I good thing if you ask us! Fortunately we have though gotten permission to camp directly on the beach on one of the most beautiful bays on the main island. A quiet part of the beach, but still within walking distance of the toilets, showers and other facilities set up for day trippers.

Unfortunately plastic washing up on the beach is also a big problem in this part of the world. We aim to have a positive impact to the island. So instead of just having a leave not trace policy, we actively clean up the beach together with our travelers and make sure we leave it even nicer than when we arrived.
